Project Life: Week 11

Week 11: March 14th - March 20th

March 14: Animal crackers have always been one of Ty's favorite snacks. Still till this day, he munches on them & it reminds me of when he was a little guy just starting out eating solids! March 15- I had Ty practice writing his name today. He does a very good job at attempting to write it, doesn't quite spell it all out, rather he spells his name, "T-i-T-i". March 16- Another little cute project brought home from school. I LOVE it when he brings home art. I either take a picture of it and put it in his school album, or I hang it on his art wall in our den area. March 17- Happy St. Patrick's Day. Luckily, my little green monsters didn't get pinched today.. they were good sports and all wore green! March 18- We cleaned up my parents 1960 Thunderbird and got it ready to be sold. It was owned by my Grandmother. Such a gorgeous car. March 19- Uncle Jay giving Veyah lots of kisses. This is the first picture he's gotten with her since the day she was born. I've made it a priority to get more photographs with family members & the kids. March 20- Creative play. Something Prez has been doing a lot lately. This morning, he was changing his "tetty bare's" diaper. He then set him up at the dining room table with a blanket, a spoon, paper cup and a jar of baby food. After he was full, he put "tetty bare" down for a nap. We all had to be quiet because he was "seeeping" (sleeping)

Week 10: March 7 - March 13

March 7-Mommy and Ty Ty. How quickly our little baby is growing up. Looking back over our pictures in the past year, I haven't really been in a lot of them.. so it's time to change that. Mommy's on strike! More time spent in front of the lens, rather than behind it!March 8-While out shopping, I found this cute framed glass calender. Perfect for my scrapbook room & another piece for the organization stash.March 9-These are my favorite kinds of pictures. Nothing staged, or rehearsed. Just pure & natural. These boys have a indescribable relationship. Together, they make the best team.March 10-Silly boy is always finding ways to get Mommy's attention. How could I say no to a face like that?! A face only a Mommy can love.March 11-One of my current favorite pictures. Not only do I love the little one in it, but I love how her little brother is reaching his arm up to touch her. simply priceless.

March 12-One of the many activities the boys enjoy during the Spring/Summer time is drawing with chalk. The sun paid a visit today, so they boys doodled all over the back patio. Ty, being the silly boy he is, added in some crazy faces for the picture of the day!
March 13-I finally finished Neveyah's nursery. It took me forever to find bedding that I like and that coordinated with each other. I really wanted to paint her walls, but since the landlord doesn't allow that, I had to compromise. I picked up these wall vinyl dots and love the way they look, they match perfectly.

On a side note, we entered Neveyah in the Baby Idol contest. If you'd like to vote for her, go here. "I Do" Layout

After much procrastination (4 1/2 years to be exact), I finally scrapped some of the pictures from my wedding day. Sadly, I don't have much pictures from that day, since it was a very small ceremony. Close friends & family only. Took me a day to get everything put together. Ya, that kind of wedding. I didn't have a big frilly dress, a 3-tier cake, (my topping was of Shrek & Fiona, lol), nor did I leave afterwards to my honeymoon. But, I wouldn't trade that day for anything. It was the day I committed to myself to the best man in the world. My best friend. I usually list the products I use and the manufactures, but honestly, I don't remember. I was floating on Cloud 9 when I made this. Creating this layout took me back to that day when I said, "I Do"

Week 9: February 28 - March 6

February 28- Cold season hitting hard. The kids and I have been sick for what seems like forever. Ty had an ear infection in both ears, myself.. dealing with the endless cough. Seems like ever since Ty started school, we get sick very often!March 1- With every kiddo of ours, I've always taken a picture of their itty bitty feet around a month old or so. Just wish they could stay little like this forever!March 2- I've been wanting to put this outfit on Veyah, and although it's still a little to big, it fits enough to wear it. I just love the little Ugg boots! Everything is so cute when it's "itty bitty" size.March 3- Our little stinker. Mr. Mischievous. Prez sure knows how to push a Mama's buttons. At times I think of how much he'd go for on Ebay, but at the end of the day, I look at him and all I can do is laugh-- pure payback for all the troubles I gave my parents.March 4- One thing I enjoy buying for the boys is SHOES. But, with boys being boys, it's not like they don't "break em' in", so having a wide variety of shoes is always a good thing, especially since they don't last very long!March 5- Veyah's looks are changing so much. She's our little chunk-uh-munk. This girl loves to put down some food! Awesome appetite. Any chance I get, I'm snapping pictures of her. I consider myself her personal paparazzi!March 6- I've been working on Veyah's room this past month, and her dresser was finally completed. I've been wanting to do a picture with her sitting in the drawer, since I had one taken of me when I was little. She was a good sport! Always is.

Week 7: February 14 - February 20

February 14-Happy Valentine's Day! Sweet picture of my 3 sweet hearts! Veyah's very 1st mini-holiday.
February 15-Brotherly love. I love how close they are no only with their relationship, but their size. Prez wears the same size as Ty, yet they are 18 months apart!February 16-Veyah's little bracelet that I made her in time for pictures. It's so cute on her. Her wrist are so tiny that it's like dressing a baby doll.February 17-I'm been working on getting her room put together. I got some of my favorite pictures printed off and put them in frames for the top of her dresser.February 18- Happy Birthday to our little man, Titan. Today, he celebrated his 4th birthday! How fast time has flown by. It seems like I had just decorated for his 3rd birthday!
February 19-Loved this shot of Daddy and Prez hanging out at the basketball court. An adorable capture of a father and son relationship.February 20-Already 3 weeks old, our little girl is changing each and every day. She's starting to smile more and she loves watching you as you talk to her. Such an intriguing little mind.

Week 6: February 7 - February 13

February 7- I'm addicted to her. Seriously. I take so many pictures of her, just because I can. I love dressing her up, it's fun. Pink is the new blue!

February 8-Our little angels. How big they are getting. I love watching them interract with one another. Ty and Prez are the best big brothers.January 9-Grandma and Papa's neighbor, Linda had made Veyah this hat, as well as a pink one and a blanket. It fits perfectly!
January 10- Veyah's little personality is slowly starting to show. She's more alert now, and just loves laying there, watching you. So sweet. January 11-I've had a hard time finding headbands/hair accessories to fit Veyah. Living in a small town doesn't give you very many options. So, I pulled out some scrapbook supplies and made her one myself.January 12-Another one of Mommy's handmade headbands. Our little princess is 2 weeks already!January 13-Family Night. We had a Wii tournament at our house. Everyone took turns battling each other. We bowled, played some tennis, the guys battled at archary! It was a fun time!

Week 5: January 31 - February 6

January 31- Sleep. Sleep. Sleep. The first days of our baby girls life, and all she does is sleep. It's so sweet to watch her snooze. I find myself holding her while she is fast asleep, watching her expressions. Every now and then she'll giggle, and her sweet little dimples shine. :)
February 1- I fall in love with her more & more each day. Our little girl is such a blessing to us. As well as a precious gift from God. February 2- Big yawn. I just love this picture. One of the many facial expressions we've encountered. February 3- My beautiful family. We are so very blessed. This picture is a reminder of God's many gifts he has to offer us.February 4- This picture makes me laugh. It was not set-up at all. I was just taking picture after picture. When I had uploaded them to the computer, started editing, I noticed that Veya was showing off her "middle" finger! February 5- Our 3 angels. The boys just love their new baby sister. They love giving her kisses and hugs. Always asking to hold "vay-yuh", or "UH-vay-uh" as Ty calls her.

February 6- 9 days old already! I can't believe how much she has changed already. She's more alert and boy oh boy, do we just love those adorable little dimples.

Project Life: Week 4

Week 4: January 24 - January 30

January 24-Me and my little men. Not very often do you see me in a picture, since a majority of the time I'm the one behind the camera.
January 25- 39 weeks now. Waiting for our little girl to make her way into this big world of ours. Been experiencing lots of Braxton hicks, back pain and lots of pressure .. hoping she comes soon.
January 26-Daddy picked out the boys shirts the other day while we were out shopping. Decided to get a snapshot of the boys wearing them. Plus, they always make the best subjects for picture taking.January 27- During the night I started contracting, so this morning I thought for sure we'd be heading to the hospital to have baby girl. I put the boys "I'm the Big brother" shirts on, had my bag packed .. BUT, my contractions ended up not being as strong towards the afternoon, so we stayed home.January 28- She's here. We welcomed Neveyah Jaelynn this morning at 5:49 a.m. Weighing 7 lbs 7 oz. 19 1/2 inches long. She arrived on her due date! After my water breaking at 3 a.m., I contracted for the next 3 hours. I started pushing at 5:40, within 5 minutes, 3 pushes later, she greeted the world with her beautiful blue eyes, lots of dark hair, and adorable dimples she got from Daddy.January 29- Our family. We used to be 4, but now we're 5! We love our brand new baby girl!
January 30- Our precious little angel, sleeping.

Project Life: Week 3

Week 3: January 17 - January 23

January 17-This afternoon we put the kids in the wagon and walked around the neighborhood. It was exactly a mile. Felt good to get out of the house and get some exercise.
January 18-We took a long walk along the bluffs at Dungeness, and then walked the trail towards the spit. The kids had fun getting their shoes all muddy while Mommy trailed behind trying not to go into labor.January 19-We're winding down to the last few days before baby gets here and I wanted to get a picture with the boys and the belly. This is one of my favorites. Plan to do a few more, if she doesn't arrive before then.January 20-We took a drive to the John Wayne Marina. Daddy, and Ty threw rocks in the water while Preston took a power nap in the car.January 21-Preparing for our little ones arrival. Packed the baby bag today for the hospital. All her clothes & bedding are washed. We bought the necessities for her first few weeks of life.January 22-We have a few days left of sunshine until we start receiving rain again in our area. We drove out to the John Wayne Marina again so the boys could throw rocks into the water. We took them to the park afterwards.January 23-Today, I made the boys their shirts for when the baby arrives, which they'll wear at the hospital!

"We're Having a Girl" LO

With our little one soon to arrive, I wanted to get some LO's done so I don't fall to far behind once she gets here. The first LO I've done is my 18 week ultrasound. This is when we found out we were expecting our little princess!
I scanned and printed out copies of the original ultrasound, (I won't have to worry about the pictures fading in the years to come), the originals I placed in a protective clear envelope which I attached to the back of the layout.

Week 2: January 10 - January 16

January 10- The boys played with their new razors and shaving cream in the tub that they had got for Christmas. They thought it was the coolest thing being able to shave like they see Papa & Daddy do.
January 11- Took Prez into the doctor today for his cold. Dr. couldn't see his ear drum because of was build-up, but she prescribed him some antibiotics to help with the ear infection. Both boys got their flu shots & H1N1 vaccines.January 12- Some more cute baby things. Got these little boots from Baby Gap int he mail today. Can't wait to see them on her.photo courtesy of MSN

January 13-A massive, 7.0 magnitude earthquake stuck Haiti near the capital of Port-au-Prince on Tuesday, Jan 12th. Death toll estimates range from 30,000 to 50,000 but believed to be more than 100, 000 people dead.January 14- Eight Prenatal appt. 37 weeks. 5lb. gain since last appt 2 weeks ago. Baby's heart rate 132 bpm. Test results from Strep B test came back negative. As of right now, I'm dilated 2 centimeteres. Getting close to her arrival.January 15- Our long, over-due date night. We went to the movies and saw the movie, "Avatar" Great movie. Nice 2 1/2 hour break from parenthood. Lissa watched the boys for us. They did great while we were gone.January 16- After days and days of rain, we woke up to a beautiful sunrise and sunny day with no clouds in sight.

Project Life: Week 1

Week 1: January 3 - January 9

January 3- Catching up and colds. We've all been sick for over a week. Ty ty is the worse and his cold doesn't want to go away. I've been busy catching up on Project 365 last year, organizing, ordering & printing pics. January 4- Preperation. Today, I got a box of Dreft and started washing all the baby's things. Brought out the bassinet so I could clean it up and get it ready for her arrival. Getting very excited.. 28 days until due date.

January 5- I was taking pictures of the boys before bed and Ty randomly asks, "Will you take a picture of my butt?" So, I laugh, say.. "ooook." Of course, Prez has to do what brother does, only he kept his booty covered.

January 6- "Mommy, I want seee-we-ole" So, I poured Prez a bowl of cereal, 2 minutes later, I found him passed out in his chair. He had only a few bites before he was out. It was so cute.

January 7- Another masterpiece. I enjoy watching the boys play with their blocks. It's fun to see what they create with them. They worked together to build this, "circle tower."

January 8- We finally had our Christmas. After almost 2 weeks since the "real" Christmas day, the kids opened all their presents.

January 9- Titan loves doing "logical" related activities. He spent over an hour playing with his Handy Manny workshop that he had got from Meemaw for Christmas.

Happy December! Today marks the first day of the first 25 days of Christmas, as well as the first day for our enteries into our December Daily albums.

The boys opened their very first box on their advent calenders. This is their first year doing the calenders, last year they were too little to really be able to do it.

They loved the little treats inside-- of course, they wanted to open day 2, day 3, day 4, etc. But, I explained one little box per day! :) I really think this is gonna be a INCREDIBLE project. So far, I've really enjoyed it.

Can't wait for more days to come.

Quick Digital Layout

Took these pictures of my boys just before bedtime, decided to make a quick digital layout of them since they look so cute in them :) I need to get a few more lo's done for the the "family 09'" album.. this will be one of the ones going into that album.

Digital elements are various kits from Summer Driggs. I don't remember where I got the rusty star elements from?! (I've had them for quite a while!)

Project Life by Becky Higgins

Without any hesitation, I purchased the Project Life kit (by Becky Higgins) last week. I've really enjoyed the Project 365 (the kit similar to this that sold at the beginning of this year) It's really gotten me in the habit of photographing more. I love the look of the new kit. The colors, designs, etc. To find out more information about this, you can visit here.

The estimated time to receive the kit is sometime after New Years. :) It's quite a ways away, but truely worth the wait!

I highly recommend getting this if your new to scrapbooking, been scrapbooking for a long time or just because you want a easy, fun, and creative way to review your life in a years time.

December Daily Pages 1-10

As mentioned it my previous post, here are pages 1-10 of my December Daily album. Patterned papers are from the Christmas stack last year at Joann's, and also American Crafts.

I bought a 12x12 sheet of transparency at my local scrapbook store. Cut it in half, punched holes to fit album, added a snowflake rub-on and then a number sticker.

December Daily 2009

Today, I finished my December Daily album! I'm really excited about this project, it's the first time I've done it. Ali Edwards came up with this idea a few years ago and you can get more details on it along with pictures of her albums on her blog.

The idea of this whole project, is to document each day from December 1st until Christmas day. The 25 days of Christmas. During the month of November you put the album together so that it is ready come December 1st. Less work for you later--basic principle.

Here is the front of the album!

I used the Bo Bunny 9x9 bare naked binder. Covered it with patterened paper from last years Christmas Stack (purchased at Joann's) Added some ribbon, then the number and wording is from Creative Imaginations. All the numbers throughout the book were used from this company. Cardstock stickers, coordinating numbers, I figured it was perfect for this album!

More pics to come. All 25 pages :)

Time for an Updated Post

Oh my, I didn't realize how long it's been since I have posted. I've had a lot that has been happening in my life-- so I haven't really had any time to scrap.

Lately though, I've been spending time in my sb room and I am currently working on a mini-album, which I'll post once it's complete. I'm trying to get caught up on my Project 365. I slacked for a while, for quite a while.. :-( slowly, but surely I will have it up to date.

If you read my family blog, you'll know that my husband and I are expecting our 3rd baby. We found out on the 3rd that we'll be having a girl! We are VERY excited. Two boys later, I'm stoked for a girl!

I can't wait to start scrapping about her-- I have seen so many cute "girl" related things and now I can ACTUALLY by them!

A couple weeks ago I scored an awesome photo priner at a garage sale. A Kodak Easyshare 3500 for .. get this... $20 Hardly used. Works GREAT! I had just been telling my Mom that I needed a new printer because my old one (Picture Mate) just wasn't working much anymore... well BAM. I got one!

Lately I have been a stalker on the Deal a Day sites.. haven't purchased anything, but have seen some really neat things at a great price. The 4 I vist are:

I have been working on this mini-album for a couple weeks now & just finished it! I gathered some of my favorite pictures of my two boys and their Daddy and put them in this mini-album.

Papers and most of the embelishments are from Basic Grey's Archaic line.

Stopped by my LSS, and grabbed a few things.

Been wanting to try Doodlebugs Sugar Coated glitter, so I grabbed a bottle of the, "beetle black" glitter.

Haven't tried it just yet, but am really looking forward to trying it out.

To go along with that, I picked up the double-sided letters that go along with it.

They have so many different designs when it comes to the adhesive transfers, very difficult to choose just one, looks like I'll be going back for more, I guess. {darn!}

In the Works

I have been so far behind in the blogging world, even the family blog I have slacked on. Been pretty busy lately, and trying to get things in order around here.

I haven't worked on any scrapbook projects for a while now, but I am feeling very creative and will be working on some projects this weekend.

I received my Project 365 kit a couple weeks ago and am totally loving it! I'm keeping track of my pictures and journaling in a word document and am slowly transferring that into the album. I think the whole concept of the this kit is incredible, I look forward to seeing the end result.

I started a mini chipboard album a few weeks ago, haven't quite come up with a title for it but the whole "idea" of the thing is my favorite pictures of the boys and their daddy! Throughout the album I have included little conversations that boys have with their Dad. I'm hoping I will get it completed here soon.

There are a few ideas going through my head lately on some new projects. I want to do something different. Something not everyone has done or already thought of. As I get the brainstorming ideas put on paper and more to a rough draft, I'll be posting what I have come up with the.

I hope you all had a Happy St. Patty's. I didn't take ONE picture that day, can you believe that!? So, I'll be some-what of a cheater and do a few to make-up for that day.

Party Planning 101-- Disney Cars Theme

Currently working on my son's 3rd birthday party. Decided to go with the Disney 'Cars' theme again this year. Both of the boys are into it & I just think all the characters are just adorable, especially that Mater!

Went to a party store located about an hour from us called, Party City--picked up a ton of decorations-- plates, napkins, balloons, pinata, goodie bags, banners, cupcake holders, etc.

I'm making cupcakes-- rainbow chip to be exact. Covering them with white frosting and using a red candy spray, topping them with mini characters from the movie. Titan's cupcake has a special topper-- this little guy right below...Living room will be filled with balloons hanging from the ceiling. As a door game, I am filling a Cars character with a bunch of candy and each guest must guess how many pieces are in it, closest to the amount inside, wins the whole thing.

Table scape:

Table Cover: Plastic matching theme cover found at the party store. Was going to go with a black & white checkered fabric, but it didn't quite fit the table right)

Centerpiece: Mater cutout (which was found at the Party store) I bought a 3-tier cupcake holder (Martha Stewart) which I am decorating it to match the theme.

I found this really cute red bucket that we are going to fill with ice and put some sodas and juices in. I also am making a punch-- Hawaiian punch, ginger ale & vanilla ice cream. Putting that in a matching red bowl.

Goodie Bags: Bought the boxed ones rather than the plastic. Only having a few kids, so I could go a little extra on the goodies. Filling them with some toys, cars, etc. Purchased some glow in the dark bracelets which the proceeds went to a children's foundation. Hubby came up with that idea!

We are also doing a pinata-- filled with tons of goodies, kids will enjoy that one!
We are going to cook hot dogs & hamburgers-- have chips & dip, chocolate covered pretzels & candy to munch on.

New Approach to Blogging

I decided to start using my blog as my journal. My space, if you will. Random thoughts, notes and sayings that I can refer back to for furture reference. I've tried the approach of having a journal nearby, but either kids are getting into it or I have misplaced it somewhere.

It's been crazy around here lately. Still have things from the old house in boxes. (which are being stored in our garage-- thank goodness we have a 2-car garage!) My hubby is here for 3-weeks and we are busy doing family activities, etc. This isn't a bad thing if you think of it, I'm getting a lot of pictures taken so I can scrap while he is gone.

My current projects are as follows:

1. Cricut Vinyl-- Get my quotes cut out and mounted in the living room, scrap room & bathrooms. Not quite sure what all of them are going to say yet, but I have the vinyl, so I'm one step closer.

2. Complete January Layouts-- I'm starting a Family Album which will include layouts of each month's highlights. Not quite keeping up with that.

3. Project 365-- So far, I have been staying up to date with that. I keep a Word Document saved on my computer of each day, the picture I will use and some journaling that will be added.

4. Preston's First Year Album-- This is where I am REALLY slacking-- I haven't even started on this album & he will be 2 in August!! Not stressing it. Keeping a journal to the side of what's going on as well as keeping his baby book updated.

So, that is what I am working with right now. Lots and lots of projects, some smaller ones on the sides that aren't really a priority right now.. I'll get to those later on.

My kids room is all decked out with the theme of "Cars". I have a bunch of ideas running through my head of how I want to decorate their walls. One idea is to use the Cars Cricut shaped cartridge and cut out the characters using the vinyl. So, for right now, that cartridge is on my wish list.

My current project right now is my "Believe" album that my parents got me for Christmas. I acutally have a ga-zillion projects "in-the-works" but I really want to get this one done. It's a pretty simple project, covering the letters is what is taking me the most time. I used Stickles to add some, "oomph" to it. I intend to add my favorite pictures from this past Christmas to it. I'll be posting the finished project soon. We just moved, so all my scrapbook stuff is still in boxes!

Saying Goodbye to Daddy/First Shower

Had a hard time deciding what picture to use today. First one is the boys and Daddy, he left today to return to the slope up in Alaska for 3-weeks. Second one is my son's first shower. He has always taken bubble baths, but in our new house, our guest bath only has a shower and he has been asking to, "take a shooowur" So, we let him. He did pretty good, bathed himself and dried off. He didn't like the fact of having to get out, but I didn't want my water bill to be insanely high either!

TRY, TRY AGAIN! I have been trying to order the Project 365 kit since 8 o'clock this morning. They were having technical difficulties over at CK. Sometimes it would say the kit was out of stock, other times it would just freeze at the first step... but FINALLY, I was able to order it.

**NO PIC YET**
Today, we went and looked at a house for rent about 7 minutes from where we are now. Absolutely fell in love with it. We peeked through the windows at first just to see if we'd be interested and sure enough we were. As soon as we left I called the owner and told her we would love to see the inside.

We met her at noon with her family. We walked through and couldn't find anything we didn't like. The size of the house is twice what we are in now. The master bedroom is HUGE. After spending nearly an hour there, we finally departed from our (fingers crossed) home. Once we got home I filled out the paperwork needed and e-mailed it to her.

We are very excited and we are praying that we will get the place.

Many of you may be a little intimidated about it. Completely understandable. But, in all actuality, it saves you a lot of time and at the end of the year you have a completed album that reflects on each day of that current year. Becky Higgins gives you so many ideas on what to do and walks you through the kit. Visit her blog to find out more.

The kit goes on sale January 1st.

I have decided to document my project here on my blog. It's more of a "back-up" for me to reference if needed. Keep in mind you do not need to have the kit to get started. Just keep a journal (like I am doing) nearby, and write out the picture you took for the day and a little description, if you'd like.

Secret Project Revealed

Here it is, after what seems like a one week project taking a month to do, I finally finished it. I had a few ideas on what I wanted to do with these pieces. (The cardboard squares came out of the Cosmo Cricket's 9,000 piece kit) First, I was going to use these as photo dividers in my photo boxes, but then I thought that it would never be seen, it would always be put away in a box. So, I decided to make a little album. On each of the inside pages, I wrote a little note to the boys and shared some of my favorite stories with them. The paper I used for the notes is actually from a notebook that I bought from Wal-Mart on clearance. I inked the edges with Distress Ink (Ranger). The patterened paper is from the Brenda Walton's Small Wonders Boy line.

To put it together, I cute the pp to size of the cardboard. Covered both sides with Mod Podge- Matt, added all my pics and embellishments and covered it again with Mod Podge. After I added the notes, I sealed it also to protect it from getting ruined.

Creative Cupcakes

Just wanted to post real quick on the cupcakes I made Friday night for our Garage Sale. Total time, including baking for everything to be done was about an hour and a half. Here is what they looked like packaged:Supplies: Vellum flowers:Cloud 9, Popsicle sticks: Wal-Mart candy aisle, Brads: Making Memories, Crystal Stickles: Ranger, Other: Ribbon, Baggies (also in the candy aisle at Wal-Mart) & adhesive.

Secret Project {Day 1}

Secret Project {Intro}

I have come up with this project that will most likely end up taking me ALL week to do, but hey atleast it's a work in progress!

Each day I will post a picture of part of the project, when I complete the project I will post the whole thing with all the details.

So far, I have one part done- I would post a picture but it's past midnight and I don't have any natural light to get a good snapshot, so it must wait until tomorrow. Check back often, this is going to be great!

Home Decor Using Cosmo Cricket 9,000+ Kit

Earlier this year, QVC had their TSV (Today's Special Value) of Cosmo Cricket's 9,000+ piece kit. This kit included: 2 - 8x8 albums, supplies to make cards, an accordian tag album, table-top frames, peek-a-boo album, chipboard LOVE banner, photo cube, and what seems like tons more. If your interested in it, go here for more info and pricing.

Well, one of things in it that I mentioned above was a photocube. Now, I think they're cute and all but I am not all that into them. So, I came up with another way of using the pieces. I pulled the cube apart and made a wall hanging, here is what it looks like:

This project is very easy. My theme for it was my Family. The first square was the Family Name. Then each square that followed was the members of our family. My husband, myself, and my two boys. All patterned paper, embellishments are from this kit. The only thing different is the letters I used for our name, those are Thickers and I used antique ink on the edges so it would blend in with the color scheme. Any questions, just ask!

2 Years Old... and Growing

Put this LO together this morning. Titan has become very interested in "Paints" So, I let him do a few hand prints for this LO. He tried his best at keeping still so I could get the best print, but as you can see he got a little wiggly! lol. Around the border I wrote all his favorite things: words, shows, expressions, etc. I used chalk around the photo to make it "pop" I didn't want to embellish it too much, I felt like it would take away from not only the pic, but the handprints (I think the handprints are embellishments enough)

I have a few projects I am working on, so keep checking back. I am trying to get back into the Scrap mode, but working and Mommyhood ties up a lot of my time right now!

VERY BEHIND!

I have been out of the scrappin' loop for quite some time now. I was in Alaska for a month and then four days after returning from that trip, I left again to Disneyworld with my family for a week. Not only that, I started a part-time job, which right now is a little more than part-time, so I haven't had any time to scrap! :( I have so much to do and have no time to do it in. I'll be working on the rest of my son's First Year album here soon, I'll post something sometime this week.

"First Christmas" LO- Part 1

I put this LO together earlier this evening. It is my oldest ds's 1st Christmas. This will be a 2 page LO but I haven't started the first page yet. I am trying to finish up his "First Year Album" so, one page down & forever more to go.

I decided to go with a photo block and then have a button border, I wanted to pull the bright colors from the pic onto my LO! Off I go to start the first page for this spread!

I picked these up at JoAnn's today! They were on clearance, 50% off! I got all 4 of them for under $6.00, what a deal! I just love the colors & print of them. I'll post later on what I use them for!
