Christmas Card Album

I created this album to hold all the Christmas cards that I recieved this year.. not only from family but also the ones I recieved for the CKMB Christmas Frenzy. I can now look back over all of them for ideas in the future.

I started with a hanging folder, cut to size. I made mine 5 1/2 x 9 .. which allowed some space on the top and bottom!

Next, I cut thin cardboard to cover the folder.

Once that was cut, I cut my patterned paper and adhered it to the cardboard. I also lined the inside of the album with a coordinating paper.

I stitched the cards to a strip of thin cardboard and glued it to the inner spine of the album. To give it more support, I stapled the strip on both the top and bottom.

Next, I placed my ribbon around the outside of the album, I cut it an extra 6 inches so that I had enought to tie a bow.

I placed a strip of paper on the outside spine to cover the staples and then used two brads to add a "bound" look.

I added my embellishments and "bam".. complete.
